Two Russian comedians prank called Democratic House Intelligence Committee member Adam Schiff. Schiff is constantly accusing Trump of being involved with Russia, but Schiff took the call of the comedians who were claiming to have nude photos of President Trump. And Schiff wanted them really badly.
“Obviously we would welcome the chance to get copies of those recordings. So we will try to work with the FBI to try to figure out how we can take copies of those… I’ll be in touch with the FBI about this, and we’ll make arrangements with your staff,” said Schiff in a recording of the call.
“I think it would be best to provide these materials to both our committee and the FBI. We’ll make arrangements between my staff and yours on how to facilitate that,” he said.
According to Schiff’s spokesperson, it was really him on the call, but he knew it was a prank from the start. “Both before and after the call, we were aware that it was likely bogus and had already alerted appropriate law enforcement personnel, as well as after the call,” claimed the spokesperson.
“Obviously, it was bogus – which became even more evident during the call – but as with any investigation that is global in scale, we have to chase any number of leads, many of which turn out to be duds,” said Schiff.
